I am sorry that you and your roommate is going through this with another person as a recovering drug at it and I was married to a recovering alcoholic no one will be able to help roommate number two he has to help himself and one day maybe he will hit rock bottom and realize that he cannot go on living this way no one deserves to be treated into live around someone who lies and abusive and everything. Yes you have a lot of stress on you with your heart attack and this does not help the situation at all I am glad he is in jail where he cannot stress you and your roommate out anymore I'm here if you need to talk hugs Ramona

Yikes. That was a rollercoaster and I’m only reading it. Must have sucked much worse for you and Nick. Hopefully, you both can move on. Since the cops came, can they help you all file a restraining order? To ensure that when he gets out, he can’t just stroll right back in and claim eviction restrictions?

Hugs! It’s good to “see” you though.

Holy crap! You've been through some shit, that's for sure! Hopefully, as srkaficionada suggested, you can obtain a restraining order. If so, you can also change the locks so it would make it much more difficult should he try to violate a restraining order. Here's hoping you can enjoy some much needed peace and quiet and recover from the physical and emotional stress you've been through.

Sorry to hear about such dramatic drama. I once had a neighbor next door who I had to deal with, and won't go into detail about him, but needless to say I was not a happy camper... or in this case a happy next door resident. Months later he was finally evicted, and it was nice to finally find my apartment a peaceful place once again.

Thoughts from the Garden...

I feel your pain, my ex husband is an alcoholic and continues to be so to this day. He never told stories, and is high functioning.... But he's getting worse now that he retired. Unfortunately, until they see they have a problem, they can't be helped.

at least you have peace for now.
That sucks that you have an alcoholic roommate, hopefully he gets the care that he needs. For the sake of everyone.

Alcoholism is a terrible affliction which can have such a detrimental effect on everyone, including the sufferer, often worse on others. So sorry you had to go through this while you were recovering from your scare, but hopefully things are on a more even keel now McTive!

i'm so sorry you have had a bad roommate situation!

i had this one who went ballistic when my bf moved and i had to start living in the room i was paying for... i was moving my stuff into the condo and she kept yelling at me about the door shutting behind me. so she kicks me out. as her cat is dying and coming to my bedroom closet to puke. i'm trying to pack and she keeps unpacking my stuff to keep using my stuff. the bf figured he was still paying rent so just move into his place. she started to hassle me at work about the rent and utilities after i moved out. finally the landlord called me. i told him what happened. he was like the lease is in her name and i expect her to pay the rent. he told me he wasn't pursuing me.
