I heard so many real life stories from my mother, father, and grandparents who went though the war. My mother was 13, and my father was 10, when the war ended. Since they were all near Yokohama, none of them really was affected by radiation but still the brutality of war was there, in everyday of life, as young as they were. I pray for the world peace today. RIP for those who lost lives.

There's a remarkable story of someone who survived the Hiroshima bomb only to find himself back home in Nagasaki a few days later and got bombed again. Unlucky, or lucky that he survived both? Tsutomu Yamaguchi - seemingly he died just ten years ago. A lot of arguments for both sides have surfaced over the years. As it was in the Japanese soldier's way to fight to the death, invading mainland Japan would have cost many more casualties on both sides. And as mentioned, showing off a nuclear bomb to the Soviets might let them know the US is not to be argued with. Let's hope we never have to deal with another one again.
