Thought for the day...

What you say about someone says more about you than them. Same is true for comments in social media.

It works both ways, as people who always take the high road come across as trustworthy and someone you would like to be around. However, those who choose to be condinsending(?), bash or troll are normally the most unpleasant people and people you can not stand to be around for long.

I have seen political ads that make me just want to right in a vote so neither gets elected. And I have seen many Alabama football fans go on other teams boards and leave nasty comments. I am not putting down Alabama football as Nick Saban has built a dynasty and even though I am not a Bama fan I think he will go down in history as being the greatest college football coach of all time. Proof is he keeps turning over coaches and players to the pros and keeps getting better.

That's why I always pause before responding to any one on here. Okay... not always but usually. Sometimes, anger and frustration win.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

It is just way to easy in this world of instant gratification to post something that should stay in your head and not be let out. In addition, on social media you can not be to cute with sarcasm because people can't tell the tone of voice in which it is meant to be heard.

There have been times when I read something the first time and get a little chippy and aggravated but then when I sit back and reread it a little later it comes across differently and I am able to make a better evaluation of the comment for its true intent.

If the one I am commenting on is too far off base I simply scroll on

I have found that there are some people on here who must be really depressed or having a bad day. Sometimes you just need to let them have a little space and time to think through things. I have noticed lately that there are a few who must be really hurting inside or have really been hurt by someone. Not knowing them well enough I feel it is better that I just leave them alone and let them work through things themselves.
