Sex and the Royal Flush

Last weekend, I was thinking about things and I was feeling a bit low. My life, felt as if it had been poured into a porcelain toilet.

It swirled hypnoticaly, round and around in a steady clockwise motion, yet it never quite flushed itself away, nor completely from my view. As I watched, it always, resiliently, bubbled back up, to where I might even have scooped it into my hands, sifted through it's slime and sins, cleaned it - and started fresh.

I waited, with so much hope, yet it would fool me and repeat it's illusion, all over again. As I lingered impatiently, it steadfastly twirled, and circled in that foamy abyss for what seemed like - hours. Eventually, I gave up, waved goodbye... and called a plumber buddy of mine.

"I might n.eed explosives to dislodge this one.", he joked with me, as he walked back to his truck.

I cracked up laughing as I waited for his return. It was the only thing I could do - at that point !

I'm really not that good when it comes to home repair and stuff like that. Thankfully I have a great bunch of friends who are. I provide the food and beverages though. Does that count?

Although I did rip up all the carpets in my home and put in oak hardwood floors, so I guess when I put my mind to it, I'll get it done. Damm that was a job and a half! Yep...

I do my own repairs when possible. Although I got roots out the 2nd time I've had to snake my sewer line 4 times this year. I finally started using a root killer. So far, so good.

I own a Property Management Maintenance company. We take care of 400+ rent houses for various company's. From flipping , to make ready's minor remodels, to maintenance calls. Like that toilet. haha Think Honey Do list on steroids.

So, yeah, I fix my own stuff.

Root killer... sounds like you had a serious issue on your hands. Trees can be tough to manage, especially willows. My parents had one and the roots were plowing through the foundation.

Wow! Holy crap! Probably could have used your contacts on this one. I guess you know how to use a power drill as well? Hmmm.. I can do a mean soufflée... Lol I am good outdoors though. Need a tree chopped or bushes planted or wheat harvested?

Did you not think to take the plunger and try to fix this issue yourself?

Hmmm... plunger...? Nope... I thought it would be more fun to call a guy I knew and then write a silly story about the experience. What type of story would it be if I took a plunger and unplugged it? Then the plumber doesn't get to say his funny 'line'. Lol... Plunger.. Hmmm I guess I have one here somewhere... I think... Do you have a plunger?

... actually... Lol... it does. But that's another story. Seriously though... It's Monday and I'm bored... But you're right - plongers are boring. What else do you want to talk about ?

truely being sarcastic is not a good trait.

Nope. You're right about that. Oh well... Just something else I'll have to work on. I have a whole bunch of other faults as well. It's a work in progress, I guess. But... I'll keep trying.

Nope, don’t do my own repairs. That’s why they invented the telephone so I can call someone reputable to do it right.

Hmmm... You're funny and versatile. I don't do plumbing or electricity as well. But I don't mind lumber work. Build an extension? Or chop a tree? I'm a baby, but I'll cook you a fricken lasagna or pork roast to die for.. Or ribs... Or meatloaf.. Lol yep

This is one of those posts where the comments alone are worth it!

Water and electricity are the two that I choose as well... I also enjoy the companionship of the workers when they pop in. I'll always watch as they work, thinking they I'll learn something.... lol NOT! They let me watch... Do you watch?

I'm handy at minor things...but, living in an apartment, I've got a crew handy for repairs!

That sounds ideal. I live in a condo, where everything is done for me... for a price... But snow removal is something that I don't mind paying for. Hope all is well with you? Thanks for popping by.
