Take a Break. You Have Earned It.

Making time for yourself is important.
So often we get caught up in the need fill the silence or make ourselves busy.
Why not take a step back and simply enjoy what's around you.
Remember that You are important and should always come first.

One of the things I have learned to do over the past five months is to turn off the news or at least be more frugal with my time listening to it.

How do you "let yourself rest"?

What wise words for today, what is "ME" time again, it's so been so long I wouldn't even know what to do. I hope you have a thrilling Thursday..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Unquestionably, social media is a toxic time-suck. In addition to distracting us from more productive uses of our time, its steady feed of cage-fight politics, grievances and Schadenfreude jack our cortisol levels.

As a first step toward physical and emotional health we should all commit to minimizing our time on social. When we do engage, we should contribute as much as we consume. Then use the (now abundant) free time for exercise and better meal planning.

With this, the down-time you prescribe will come a bit easier and with more efficacy.

I never got on the gerbil go round , no unsocial mediapropaganda gang mentality crap for me .i reject most of what the society craves .I choose to be unconventional .It's just me and my personality type .Independent , creative , unconstrained by popularity , money, trends, fashion or others opinions . I like to head into nature ,the forest, the river, the mountains , find my solitude , my healing energy from nature .The trees speak and bring me energy ,the rocks radiate energy , the water sends energy that is pure ,clean and life building .Mans creations do not give they take , they drain energy , or at least stagnate it .

Nope not even close. However, there are several biblical references to procrastination and assorted blessings.

Good that you are able to find the "right" balance for yourself.

So often you hear people saying they wished they had done exactly that more often. The pursuit of the 'almighty dollar' got in the way of them actually enjoying life and all it's blessings.

Since Oct 2019 I have made sure I had one major place to explore each month, be it a restaurant( that got quickly stifled on March 2020 didnt it) or a museum or some place that would open doors to other places for my mind to wander

An unofficial “bucket list” is great to have. Finding the balance for keeping our minds and bodies “active and fulfilled” keeps us motivated to get up each morning to face another day. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your perspective.

Watching/listening to the news can be draining and taxing on one's system. That's a great choice for a period of resting! Well, I break out my coloring books. Of course, gotta have my I-POD also! Gives me a recharge ...

In Luv, Lite, Laffter ...

Yes we can be bombarded with assorted news sources. Music has the ability to transport us to another place and time and shut out all the other "noise".
